Hey! Just got a cheap WingMan Force 3D with working PSU (FYI, if you want to check if PSU is good, plug the PSU first, then when you plug into an USB port on computer, it "auto test" itself by vibrating the stick one short time. I'll have another registry dig and see if they can be manually turned on.

  • The "Enable Centering Spring in Force Feedback Games" tick box unticks itself, as does changing the Force Feedback power percentages.
  • There is no force feedback in FS2020 (perhaps there's nothing to give?).
  • Replacement found and the force-feedback testing in the Logitech Game Controllers menu in the Logitech Profiler notification area icon gives the correct effects! But alas: However, under both XP and 10, I now have no Force Feedback at all, so I think either the hand-sensor or the motor in my joystick has died (well, it is very old!) or perhaps the PSU has fried, so alas, I can't confirm any of the above actually works.

I've also found that the old Logitech Wingman software actually installs under Windows 10 - and with the above reg edit, will detect the joystick and calibrate it. reg and then you should be able to import it. The results of this are here: <- save that to a plain text file with the ending. I then altered the structure of the regedit file to translate to where it is in Windows 10.

Do you have a Joystick with 'Force' and a OEMForceFeedback folder in your Registry? If so, would you be willing to Export it and share so I can see if I can get the correct forces working on my stick?Įdit: See this comment for further progress!Īs this is now the top search on Google for this joystick, I've thought I'd update what I've found.įirstly, I installed WinXP in a VM to extract the reg data myself. I have centre-force, but that's it - and I think it's because I've copied across Wheel 'Effects' and not Joystick 'Effects', so the Joystick doesn't know what to do with Ramp forces, Friction forces, etc. So, I copied the OEMForceFeedback key and all its sub-keys to the Wingman's folder - and, I have force feedback in FS2020!!!īUT - I don't have any Effects. One thing to notice, is the G920 wheel folder, has an " OEMForceFeedback" folder, which within it, n " Effects" folder and a lot of the Force Feedback effects it can push to the wheel. And the Logitech Wingman appears in the list, too.

Now, I have a few 'controllers' - I have an Xbox One controller, and a Logitech G920 USB FF Wheel, plus a touch driver, etc. You should see a few folders, and when you click on them, you should see the key " OEMName" which will be for which Joystick / Controller it's for. If you have a look at: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM Now, I'm gonna get nerdy Registry talk here - so if you're not interested, you're welcome to move to the next post of pretty Flight Sim pictures.

I have a Logitech Wingman Strike Force 3D USB joystick, which is still detected by Windows 10, so at least as a joystick it works, but it uses the old 'Force Feedback' which is no longer directly supported. This is a bit of a long-shot, but I'm hoping someone who isn't afraid of the Windows Registry can help me bring an old joystick back to life.
